Art exhibition, at the Castle Gallery, by Irene Jones with a theme of imagination and the creation of 'secret' worlds. A beautiful and intriguing exhibition.
Hair and Fashion Show

This light-hearted parade of the chic and the sleek brings the catwalk to Bude at Adventure International. A fabulous hair and fashion show, with disco, so that models of all ages can strut their stuff, courtesy of Colin Danks, the Clip Joint, Wroes department store, Ann's Cottage Surf and AirCulture, supported by Barclays Bank. Charcoal Making
Sat 19th Nov 10.00am
A National Trust event at Boscastle. Learn how to make your very own charcoal. Dig and build a traditional charcoal pit with local Trust rangers. Let it burn overnight and then return the next day to collect your own bag of locally produced charcoal.
Scrub and Spuds
Sat 19th Nov 10.00am
Another National Trust event, near Port Quin. Help the local ranger team clear scrub from cliff tops used by ponies for grazing. Come along and play a valuable part in managing our cliff top habitats. We need to clear scrub to allow ponies open areas to graze which in turn benefits the diverse maritime flora. We will have a bonfire going to cook jacket spuds for lunch. http://bit.ly/stThYc
Grimm and Grimmer
Wed 23rd Nov 7.15pm
Come along to Marhamchurch Village Hall to witness the Misadventures of the Brothers Grimm. A hilarious family show! A comedy fairytale adventure bursting with physical comedy, absurd jokes and magical illusion. http://bit.ly/tBrdBa
Royal Favourites concert by Bude Choral Society
Sat 3rd Dec 7.30pm
To be sung at St Michael’s Church, works that will be familiar to the audience from coronations and recent royal weddings, such as Handel’s famous Coronation Anthems – including Zadok the Priest and The King Shall Rejoice – and Parry’s I was Glad, chosen as wedding music by Prince Charles and Diana and by Prince William and Catherine. http://www.budechoral.org.uk/
Cliffs and Coffee
Sat 17th Dec 10.30am
A National Trust event at Boscastle. Join a local expert who will guide us through the geological history of the coastal area. Interpret the coastal landscape from a different perspective. Hear about the incredible cliffs and rocks of the area over a tea or coffee in the Trust cafe. Then explore the area on foot. This should prove to be a fascinating walk. http://bit.ly/s6Pden
Christmas Day Swim
Sun 25th Dec 11.00am
Organised by the Bude Surf Lifesaving Club on Crooklets beach. Sponsored dip (only the very hardy will swim - no wetsuits allowed!) Loads of mad people plunge into the icy seas in aid of charity. Lots of fun, especially if you are just watching.
